Dig popped through the post yesterday morning. This is what I found inside. Also in Ride US. Cheers Jamie Cameron at Proper for using my pic. Smiley face.

Don't forget to go to Budget Jam on Sept 6th, and if you are up that way go to the Stephen Murray Jam in Worcester this weekend. Should be fun!

New bowl? Yes indeed, about a month old in fact. It's in/near Chandlers Ford, off J12 on the M3, near Southampton. They have a skatelite park there which I think has been there for a while, but the bowl is new. It goes from about 5 to 7 ft, with a couple of tight corners. Pretty fun. Also included in the park are some men playing with remote control cars and a few pikey on crossers. Here's a couple of pics of Dayson and Mayo

Ohh lala.

Keep your pants on, I know you've been dying to see what my magical Pocket Wizard mod is! First see this picture. Try and guess.... I'll give you a clue; it's not an arial extension. Alright alright here it is, yeah briliant I know. It's made from a pen with a thread glued in it. I wanted something to stop it rattling around when moving the light stand from place to place. There are limitations to this ingenious device though. 1. It's just a pen, so it's not exactly strong. And 2. You have to have a flash bracket which allows the use of umbrellas. They'll probably break in half within 3 uses, but it gave me somethig to do for an afternoon.

More geek tech over on my blog. Streetphire sometimes has camera bag checks, so I thought I'd do one. I have no friends.

Dear Samwise

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. As you know, I haven't been out for ages taking pics. I did take this one the other day though using this method, as demonstrated on the brilliant Strobist.

I also got quite a touching picture recently. It was taken just after Haggler had his knee surgery. The medal says 'For A Very Brave Boy. Love From Zeal'.

Awww.

In other news, I came up with a flipping brilliant way to secure pocket wizards to a certain type of light stand today. But you probably won't be interested now you have the hump after I ate your pringles. But in case you are I will put some pictures up soon.

That's all I have for now Sam. I hope you get a new inner tube soon.

Your Mum rang.

Love Duncan xx

What a Sunday! Nothing else can top that really. 3 out of 4 like that, what are the odds?!

31.07.08

I went on a roadtrip with Zeal/Sputnic last weekend to the southwest. There was me, Hitchcox, Bruza & Isaac (aka Sausage and Chips) Andy Gregory from Mankind, Harrow Pete, and Alex the videoman. I won't put too much on here because there should be an update on Zeal with a webvid and some pics in a few days.

We hit up Weymouth, Empire of Dirt, Saltash Trails and some concrete. Pretty good fun, what with the nice weather and party times. The best bit was getting hassled by some extras from Fast & Furious while trying to bed down in asda carpark. Hitchcox went over to tell them to stop throwing pennies, they did, then one of them went 'oy Steve, rev your engine'. No Joke.

Last night I went to Chertsey to get some pics of the boys on the Segment Trails Trip. Proper media fest, but good fun. Apart from the mozzies as usual. Arrash and Matt Priest both going big. I'll probably be there again before the week is out.

I was looking at some really old i3MX Blog stuff today, I suggest going back to about 2005. There's so much funny shit on there i forgot all about. Nothing quite as funny as seeing a fat kid dance (eh Dayson)

24.07.08

There's a couple more pics from Beers for Cheers up on Kris Forge's website Figmentimage. Go peep some. I'm going on a roadtrip this weekend with Zeal/Sputnic Isaac is coming instead of Haggler because he's still injured. It's gonna be pretty sweet. We'll be at the Empire of Dirt on Saturday, so if you're going I may see you there!

23.07.08

Two in two weekends? F*ckers! I was expecting the one from beers for cheers, but the one I picked up in Romford was an added bonus! Both popped through the letter box at the same time. Like being carpet bobmbed with parking fines.

Speaking of beers for cheers there is a vid from there on my blog. Last trick is a banger! (I don't mean a sausage)

21.07.08

Gosh what a busy weekend! Arrash is back in town for a few weeks, but not really back in town becasue he is going to Empire of Dirt then on some fancy dancy roadtrip. I managed to get a few hours in with him on Friday down Chertsey which was cool. Not only him as it turns out, but Chris Doyle, Brian Yeagle, and Clint Reynolds were there also, as well as Stu Johnson filming for props i guess. On top of that were three guys from South Africa, 2 riders (who didn't ride) and a photographer called Tyrone(??-sorry if that's wrong) who was a cool guy, and John Dye too probably getting some stuff for ride! Proper media fest, but chilled out and fun. Here are some pics of the americans.

Saturday was Beers for Cheers day down the log, which mainly thanks to Josh went down a treat. Josh always builds good stuff, and I'm pretty sure he told more people than me, so cheers Josh, you're a ledge. Highlights of the day include Gus winning the highest air at 8.5 feet, with Moggs close behind. Personally I think Moggs could have beaten gus if he put a little leaner in there, but he was being a little bitch and wouldn't play any more. Alex Kennedy winning the longest 180 off the high ledge at 17feet. Very impressive. There was this other guy called Josh i think too who was blasting the same distance but couldn't get the revert. Bruza was the man of the day whipping in off the sub, and doing a brazen bars into the hip quarter. Manballs. The wooden quarter mainly got nibbled on, but Alex Kennedy did put it to good use, and so did Ryan, but he doesn't get a picture because he didn't have a lid on when he went upadi-dowdo. It was Fboro Airshow weekend, so the jets got a bit annoying, but I did actually manage to get a decent picture of the Red Arrows. Yay.

17.07.08

Couple more pics here for your face. The one of Hag that's in Ride this issue, Gav Shorthall going high out of the performance bowl at Rom, and Rikki Gunner flowing at Harrow. This is what I do when the Mrs is watching Greys Anatomy....

16.07.08

Oh yeah, I'm really bad at organising stuff, and should have probably mentioned this about a month ago, but we are having a Beers For Cheers at Fboro skatepark on Saturday. So um, if you haven't already planned your weekend then come along, ride your bike a bit, get drunk in the face and have a good ol' time. Or don't, it's up to you.

15.07.08

I'm fed up with looking at a computer screen right now, so I'm keeping this brief. I went to Harrow and Rom over the weekend, both jams were really good. Loads of kids killing themselves, and men being manly.

Also I got something in ride this month. Stoked.

Gone now.

09.07.08

Went to Brighton at the weekend and went to Spooks with Dayson, Haggler and Mayo. had a pretty chilled time there eating meat fom a BBQ and taking a couple of pics. Mainly of Dayson. Got a couple of the locals too.

06.07.08

Back in the depths of winter I was planning to put together a few words and photo's all about Haggler, for Ride. Just when we started actually getting on with taking some pictures he had bit of a fall, bruising the base of his spine, meaning a couple of weeks off the bike, then just when he was getting well enough to ride again he did his knee in, and is currently still unable to ride. I was keeping the pics secret, but thought I may as well post them seeing as I won't be using them now. Quick manny 180, on/off 180bars, Table at the field, and textbook nosie.

03.07.08

There is a Jam at Harrow skatepark on Saturday July 12th to say goodbye to a legend. The hisoric bowls are being built on by the council who are extending the sports centre or something, so please come along and have a real good time. Sponsored by Zeal, Carhartt, Ride, and some other people. There will be a BBQ and naked chicks.

If that wasn't enough, the following day (Sunday July 13th) there is a Jam at Romford, which is guaranteed to go off, because Isaac is from there and he's a couple sandwiches short of a picnic.

Be there!

01.07.08

Half way through already! Booo. Why does the summer have to go by so fast?

Me, Merlin, Haggler and Dayson went to the trails in Chertsey on Sunday to literaly just sit in the woods. Well apart from Dayson. Hags injured, Merman doesn't do trails and I was taking pics of Dayson. I say Taking pics, what I really mean is sit in a far corner of the woods and wait around for him to stop gassing long enough to actually ride his bike.

When he did fit some riding in around his deep and meaningfuls I managed to get some nice P I C S, especially this one, which to me pretty much sums up BMX.

I got one or two of the locals too.

As you may notice, I managed to fix my slaves, but I still though it was about time to fork out for a set of Pocket Wizards seeing as they are nver going to let me own. For those put off by the £500ish price tag (for three - all tranceivers) you should look at Digital Rev. They are a Hong Kong based photographic retailer but you will save a packet (about £150 inc delivery & Import tax). I ordered my camera, and a flash from there before, saved £100's and not had to wait long (I got my camera within a week of ordering!) They have a UK warranty centre too if anything should go wrong. I can't recomend them enough!

25.06.08

Last night a few of us went to the field to hang out and do stuff. Dayson joined us in his pimp new SUV courtesy of Redbull. Dayson behind the wheel of a 4X4 is a bit un-nerving to say the least. Anyway he's just been hooked up by The Source/Twenty so he wanted some pics. Unfortunately due to the wind incident a few days prior my cheap Ebay slaves were not working. Long story short I worked out how to make one of them work then snapped one in half. So now's as good a time as any to for out on something more reliable.

Dayson Came up with the idea of using the full beams on the truck to light the jump, and at around the same time I figured out that using Haggler as a tripod/bodged electronic component holder we could get an ok shot. I quite like it, considering what we had to work with. I might use the headlight technique again!

Here's another one of Bruza in the flatbank. I couldn't work out which one I liked most.

23.06.08

I went out with Zeal rider Bruza James on Sunday to get some pics. It was a good afternoon, and productive albeit relly really windy. Two of my flashes got blown over twice, whilst right on top of the stands, not good, but they still work i think. James barsed in, and turdowned out of this steep bank, got his shoulder in on this one, taking care not to buzz the family name, and did his biggest rail to date. Good work son!

17.06.08

I just squeezed out some BLOG

Sorry

In other news the ants are gone Hooray!

13.06.08

Ooohhh Fridy 13th! What an unlucky day! This is onviously not true, because as you can see you lot are very lucky indeed to be witnessing some new additions to this very website, namely the Contact, About Me, and Friends links, not to mention a link to my Blog which I may update when I have something longwinded to write about.

I, on the other hand, am suffering a little bit of bad luck as my house appears to be infested with ants. I have made a moat out of ant powder round my house and hoovered up all the ones I can see. As much as I hate these little things in my house I still find them strangely fascinating.

02.06.08

Nearly half way though the year already. Rubbish. Good news however is that my hand is now better so I can ride again. I use the term 'ride again' loosely seeing as I took my brake off for a bit of a change but have found out that it's a bit scary. Now I just roll about like a 5 year old and panic if someone comes within 15 feet. It doesn't matter though, cos when I'm just chillin with my peeps my ride does look pretty sweet.

Me and Mayo went to Basingstoke and Salisbury at the weekend where we met up with Black. I took a pic of Basingstoke Rob throwing the bars nice and high over the hip, and Black toothing the flat tranny extension at Salisbury. Proper dialled. If anyone ever wants to do toothpics in the future they need to ask Black first because he owns them now.

N.B: If you happen to hyper-extend your fingers cross the knuckles expect to be off your bike for about 8 weeks.

29.05.08

Hello. I just got back from Italy didn't I. I saw an unusual amount of transvestites, one of which shared a train compartment with me and the wifey for one and a half hours with her/his videographer. Juding by the extensive facial surgery and leopard skin/fur getup she/he was probably a porn star. Didn't get a pic soz, the other guy was hard looking.

One quid budget jam is coming up. It'll be well organised, fun and exciting. You mark my words.

Fin.

16.05.08

Some of you will remember i3MX.com. For those who don't know it was the old Fboro scene site run By Kris Forge. It ceased existence last year after the fboro scene all but died. Kris got bored of having no website, and seeing as he's a brill graphic designer and picture taker, he made another one.

Zeal BMX Distribution has a new BLOG page. Bel was having trouble finding the time to do update after update, and what with the Zeal family expanding all the time it seemed silly not to add one. It's only been up 2 days and it's been updated loads with vids, reports and all sorts. I just saw a picture of a broken leg on there. Nice.

Finally, the Fleet guys are having a Jam on June 29th sponsored by Pijin, with a BBQ, prizes and all round fun times. See the FLYER.

07.05.08

Comista Bitches! It's my birthday today. To celebrate this here is a picture of Ryan from the log (fboro skatepark for those who don't know) which I took last nite. Good work there young man, textbook turning down/ looking back. I'm going to bed now, I've had a jar or two.

05.05.08

Oh Hi. Today I have had a small breakdown trying to get the BMX page to work properly. I believe it is working now. I spent an hour in the foetal position cring in the corner when it kept on not working. I took my mind off it for a bit by doing a LOL, and then fixed it. It's got larger thumbnails and larger images than the Dero Page. More crying to come for me I think.....

This has now put me about 3 hours behind schedule for seeing this man.

03.05.08

Hurrah! Today i successfully rode a BMX again without crying (well nobody saw it anyway). This means my hand is on the mend and i can finally stop going mental from not riding. I can't ride properly still, but at least i can roll about and do some airs..

In other news, I am in the process of making my pics come up all fancy dancy, I've only done the Dero page so far, go peep it up.

27.04.08 (Again)

I went out with Mayo the other night to shoot a pic of him dong a Bars 180 over a rail, which was well good. Nice one mayo. The straight 180 is here

We popped over to the field yesterday to get some base tan and look for bugs which was cool. The trails are in (ha ha i'm not telling you) and are probably the best ones in the UK. Not that i rode them of course, my hand is still broken or something (conveniently seeing as the trails are pretty big) I got some snaps of Haggler, but i'm saving it for something, but here's a nice one of Moses to make you feel all summery.

I got mad sunburn BTW.

27.04.08

Well well well, wat have we here? I finally got round to re-designing the old website. It's pretty much the same actually, except the guestbook has gone. I will be posting snippets of news up on here now and again so keep on popping back to see if I've done anything interesting lately. I probably won't have, but you never know.

You can still access my blog if you want to read some old stuff.

I hope you like the new colourschemes!

Bye for now
